Laying the foundation upon which the rest of life is built.
Each parent longs to know that their child is growing into their full potential and becoming a person of courage, conviction, and character. Childhood presents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for laying the foundation for that growth. We believe an education should address the whole person, enriching the soul just as much as it nourishes the mind and builds up the body. At St. John Chrysostom School, students are invited to behold God’s creation and find their place in the story of humanity in a school community ordered around prayer, play, study, friendship, worship, work, and service.
“The primary goal in the education of children is to teach and to give examples of a virtuous life.” – St. John Chrysostom

Academics
Our academic program is structured in three parts:
Classical Studies
This is the daily schedule of courses covering everything from mathematics to history, to literature, astronomy, writing, and beyond. Students will not only fulfill educational requirements, but be encouraged to reach higher academic goals, and prepare for future vocations.
Enrichment
Often referred to as Common Arts or service arts, our Enrichment program is intended to introduce students to a variety of culinary, athletic, artistic, domestic, and service-oriented pursuits to round out their lives as children of God and members of society.
Liturgics
Liturgics inform our culture and academics as a school and as Orthodox Christians in the world. Daily and weekly students will have a chance to pray and worship together, as well as participate and catechism and scripture studies, learn hymnography, iconography, and the lives of the saints.
